Clean Water Returns: Amber Village Stepwell Restored

"The well our ancestors built had turned into dust. Shree Kamdhenu Gaushala brought water and life back to our village."

— Ramkaran Gurjar (Village Elder)

For twenty years, the ancient stepwell of village Amber stood dry, buried beneath debris and wild thorn bushes. Villagers had to rely on commercial water tankers that cost up to ₹1,200 per load in peak summer.

Together with 60 local volunteers and skilled heritage stonemasons, Shree Kamdhenu Gaushala spent 120 days carefully clearing silt, repairing carved stone arches, and constructing natural rainwater filtration channels.

With the monsoon rains, the stepwell has filled with 15 feet of clean, potable water that now supplies cattle troughs and village orchards.
